Yellowknife Catholic Schools offers a variety of innovative programs and services to our students and their parents. Some specialty programs you may want to learn more about are the Learning Through the Arts, Bilingual Preschool and French Immersion programs at École St. Joseph School, the Tli Cho Language, Preschool and Four Plus programs at Weledeh Catholic School, the Pre-advanced and Advanced Placement programs at École St. Patrick High School, our excellent Career and Technology Studies program offered through the Kimberlite Career and Technology Centre and our DoEdaezhe program which is offered in all three of our schools.
NWT Curriculum
In our schools, we follow the Northwest Territories curriculum for all subject areas except Religion and Health from Kindergarten to Grade 9. At the high school level, the Alberta curriculum is followed, as adopted by Education, Culture and Employment (ECE) with the exception of Northern Studies, which is a NWT developed program, and Religion.
